Hospital Manager:
Denise
Denise joined Ridge Lake Animal Hospital in April of 2007. She is a graduate of George Mason University. Denise has been involved in small animal veterinary medicine as a technician and hospital manager in the Northern Virginia area for over 10 years. She lives in Clifton with her husband Bryan and three daughters; Aimee, Chloe, and Ellie. Other family members include; Bear the Golden Retriever, Shade the Mutt, and three awesome cats; O'Malley, Seamus and Clover. Denise enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her interests in art, particularly painting and sketching.

Licensed Veterinary Technician:
Nicole
Nicole joined Ridge Lake Animal Hospital in October of 2006. She obtained her Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology from Mississippi State University in 2003. After graduation Nicole relocated to Virginia, where she has continued working in small animal practice. She lives in Lake Ridge with her husband, her 4 year old daughter Madelyn and 5 pets: Riley the Weimeraner, Sophie the Basett Hound, Avery the mini Dachshund, Beatrice the Domestic Long Hair, Kevin the canary, and the newest addition Pixel, a rescued African Grey. Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and all Equine activities.

Melanie
Melanie joined Ridge Lake Animal Hospital in April of 2004. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mary Washington in Spring of 2009, and a preceptorship with the Wildlife Center of Virginia in the summer of 2009. She is currently applying to colleges of veterinary medicine in her continued interest in the field of small animal, exotic and wildlife medicine. She lives in Dumfries with her family and two pets; Skylar, a rescued border collie from the Blue Ridge Border Collie Rescue, and Kodi a fallow green cheek conure. Melanie also enjoys martial arts and drawing in her spare time.

Customer Service Representative:

Mirna

Mirna has lived in Northern Virginia for most of her life; she is originally from San Miguel, El Salvador. Mirna has worked at Ridge Lake for over three years. She is the proud mother of three children. Her daughter is currently attending VCU, her oldest son is a junior in high school, and her youngest son is a very active three year old. Mirna enjoys listening to salsa music and dancing with her partner Antonio. She someday aspires to become a blissful grandmother.
